Sue is off-line
* * *This is a flash fiction piece for '55 Flash Fiction Friday'. The idea is to tell a story in 55 words with at least one character and a discernible plot. My first stab at this. For more, go see g-man.
Oooooooh. That is GOOD one!ReplyDelete
And the last line says it all.
Well...We all lose track of time don't we?ReplyDelete
Excellent 55 My Friend.

Hi, Lorenzo. Thank you very much for your kind comments at my place. It's so nice to meet you!ReplyDelete
I love this one, because it tells a story and makes a strong point. The last line is a fantastic ending. It's great how in just 55 words of conversation, you paint a scene for the reader (I can even picture the people). You have inspired me to give it a try.
I'll definitely return and check out more of your site. It looks awesome.
your first ever 55 was awesome! amazing how the truth will put such an abrupt stop in our way :) i can't wait for more!!ReplyDelete
Oh my gosh! This was really funny :)! I have a feeling you have a fabulous sense of humor. You often make me laugh.ReplyDelete

This is brilliant, Lorenzo!ReplyDelete
Oh, Lorenzo, this was vivid and poignant and funny too. Welcome to flashing. So many creative people gathered under one "roof." Mine will be up Friday.ReplyDelete
Another interesting piece by you Lorenzo--- I do not think I ever said anything in 55 words even my comments -- Yikes!ReplyDelete
You are a master versatile virtuoso, or said another way skillfully adapt at writing whatever style you chose.
The other 55ers will be dazzled as they get to read some of your works.
Have a good week end.
Lorenzo ~ excellent first contribution ~ I hope to see more, more, more. Loved the 55 and so very often true of those chats. Loved the last line. Sue is a smart woman!ReplyDelete
Friday Flash 55 ~ Silvia's Smile

Thanks everyone for the encouraging reaction to my first 55 Flash Fiction Friday. Now, that I think about it, this is probably my first piece of fiction period. It's a real treat to see so many new 'faces' today...ReplyDelete
I'll be gone for a couple of day and will not be blogging. A couple of quick comments from me ...
G-Man: Yes, I did find it fun and challenging and am enjoying meeting other participants. Thanks.
Julie: it's a treat to see you here. I am really enjoying your blog.
Joanny: Thanks for the effusive compliment, but I think I am more of a baffler than a dazzler (if you recall the old saying about "if you can't dazzle them with brilliance, then ... I won't go on)
What talent!! Loved this so very much. With a short 55 words, you painted us a picture. Great job.ReplyDelete
